Are you animal enough?

Carlsberg… the same folks that bring you “the reds” of Liverpool now have a unique sports beverage that apparently can do wonders for your game! Look out Gatorade…

Juggling… Work or Fun?

Filed under: videos — admin @ 1:30 pm

This guy has perhaps taken things a bit too far when trying to balance his work day. Have to give the lad credit for his ability to juggle important work duties and water cooler breaks while making the nine to five pass quickly. It does appear he’s falling behind on his supervisor’s copy project.

The game can be really, really painful…

Filed under: videos — admin @ 3:56 pm

Proceed with caution because what you are about to see will cause great pains of sympathy… even for the toughest of the tough. Perhaps our poor victim should have skipped the Under Armour “sliders” that day and may have fell short of his goal?

Freddy vs. Kobe?

Filed under: videos — admin @ 3:03 pm

Nike Soccer is starting to get more viral video up on YouTube. Take this clip, for instance. I’d like to see Freddy Adu make some moves around Kobe on the pitch. But then again, I once saw a Saratoga High School forward absolutely work Mia Hamm 1-on-1 back in 1998. So maybe it’s not too tough to beat a superstar 1-on-1? I guess that’s up for discussion in the comments area.

Perhaps if they spent less time filming commercials, they might have won the World Cup.

Filed under: videos — admin @ 3:22 pm

Brazil, South America’s powerhouse soccer program, has made a ton of Nike ads (or so it seems to us). It makes us at In The Box wonder if they could have won the World Cup without so much filming!

What’s done is done, so let’s not criticize their ads. Here’s one with the Brazilian National Team roaming around the airport.

A friendly reminder - if you see some great videos online, let us know and perhaps we’ll post your video as our next In The Box blog entry!

We’ve had our web monkeys scouring the internet for the last few days, trying to track down the Zidane Headbutt Video Game, and we’re happy to say that we’ve found it! Click here for the Zidane Video Game (which will open in a new window, and resizing the window will resize the game, too).

What not to do in a World Cup Final

Filed under: games — admin @ 1:07 pm

Well, anyone who was watching yesterday was sure to have seen the Overtime happenings with France’s Zinadine Zidane. I believe that the announcer thought it was pretty “vicious,” having repeated that same word about 25 times during the rest of the telecast.

Sure, getting the Red Card was bad. Sure, losing the World Cup probably because you weren’t around for the Shootout was bad. The worst thing, however? Some clever fan has made a new web-based game about the whole head-butting incident. (note: this link has been taken down because the webpage where the game was hosted has vanished. We’ll continue to look for it in the next few days. sorry to those who missed it!)

There’s only one way you can be a good diver

Filed under: videos — admin @ 10:34 am

Practice, practice, practice. Greg Louganis would be proud of our World Cup Finals Commemorative video. Kids, the only way you learn how to dive is if you practice diving. This “secret Italian video” is sure to cause some waves in the international soccer community. Okay, it’s probably not really serious. But with Italy in the Finals on Sunday, there’s no reason it should be overlooked. It’s hard to believe that the World Cup is almost over. The past month has gone pretty quickly, but I think my Tivo will thank me when there aren’t any more games to tape in HD. We’ll finally be able to tape other programs that aren’t soccer-related. Who are you rooting for?

Oh yeah, we’ve got your Italy gear right here.

4 teams left

Filed under: videos — admin @ 10:54 am

There are only 4 teams left, and the Germany/Italy game is upon us in about 2 hours. We hope that you’ve still got a favorite team that’s still “in it”! It’s tough to know who to root for right now, I’m personally hoping that things are settled before a shootout occurs. Whether Germany, Italy, France or Portugal is going to get your vote, we at soccerstop.com all know that you are definitely suffering from a case of “footballitis”. The folks over at adidasĀ® hear you, too, and produced this great television ad. We’ve still got lots of your favorite team’s World Cup Gear available in our secure store and don’t worry if your favorite team is out of it, I was rooting for Holland and am not afraid to admit it! We’ll have some more for you soon, so stay tuned!
